Los Angeles County: Man suspected of assault with a deadly weapon barricaded himself inside a home in La Crescenta

LA CRESCENTA, Calif. (KABC) — A person suspected of an assault with a lethal weapon surrendered to police after barricading himself inside a La Crescenta house.

Los Angeles police say the suspect, who has not been recognized, surrendered shortly after 7 p.m. after an hours-long standoff. He was taken into custody and no accidents had been reported.

The assault occurred within the Sunland-Tujunga space at about midday Friday. LAPD officers went to the house of the suspect, who lives in La Crescenta, in keeping with the company, and a barricaded state of affairs occurred.

At one level, officers had been seen with their lengthy weapons drawn. It was unclear if the suspect was armed.

There have been no recognized evacuations, and a few streets had been blocked in the course of the ordeal.

No additional particulars had been instantly recognized.
