Career Experts Shared Their Top Tips for Writing an Excellent Subject Line

How can you write the perfect email subject line? It’s an important question to ask yourself whenever you’re preparing to send out an email. A bad subject line can land your important note in the trash, while a well-crafted one increases open rates, a 2019 study published in Advances in Social Sciences Research Journal showed. 

Writing a great subject line is especially more important now, given America’s “The Great Resignation,” or “The Great Reshuffle,” a mass exodus of people from their jobs, many looking for better-paying and more fulfilling ones. If you’re part of this reshuffle and are applying to a new job or reaching out to someone for an informational interview, you want to make sure your email gets the attention it deserves. To make sure your message is viewed, crafting a good subject line is key.
