BREAKING: Burnley sack Sean Dyche

Burnley have dismissed supervisor Sean Dyche, with the staff combating for Premier League survival.

Dyche, who took over as supervisor in October 2012, leaves his staff in 18th, 4 factors behind Seventeenth-placed Everton.

“Results this season have been disappointing and, while this was an incredibly difficult decision, with eight crucial games of the campaign remaining, we feel a change is needed to give the squad the best possible chance of retaining its Premier League status,” stated the chairman, Alan Tempo.

“The process of replacing Sean has begun and further announcements will be made to supporters in due course.”

On Sunday, Burnley journey to West Ham.

That they had misplaced 5 of their earlier six matches, successful one towards Everton, and their defeat at bottom-placed Norwich final weekend pushed the board to make the change.

Dyche promoted the staff twice from the Championship, completed two top-half Premier League finishes, and certified Burnley for Europe for the primary time in 51 years throughout his tenure.

He was the Premier League’s longest-serving supervisor — a title he’ll relinquish to Jürgen Klopp, who took over as Liverpool supervisor in October 2015.
